Step into a pivotal role as an Analytics Governance Engineer, driving excellence in business intelligence governance within a collaborative and dynamic team environment. This fully remote position offers an exciting opportunity to standardize and optimize analytics processes across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage Python and SQL programs to capture and manage metric definitions from diverse BI tools.
- Streamline and analyze BI logic to address metric duplication and inconsistencies effectively.
- Ensure efficient metadata management by storing and handling results with governance platforms.
- Work closely with reporting and BI teams to set naming standards for metrics and establish certification benchmarks.
- Implement CI/CD checks and validation procedures for new metrics, ensuring adherence to governance protocols.
- Facilitate metric review and certification processes, integrating governance workflows with analytical platforms.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Information Systems, Computer Science, or Analytics.
- Over three years of experience in analytics engineering, business intelligence, or data governance.
- Profound skill in utilizing Python and SQL for programming tasks.
- Hands-on experience with metadata APIs in BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Domo.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills, emphasizing collaboration.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with advanced analytics platforms like Databricks.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and metadata integration patterns.
- Understanding of semantic layer concepts and CI/CD methodologies.
- Insight into data catalog concepts and governance workflow processes.
