Responsibilities
- Analyze complex data sets using advanced statistical methods and data mining techniques to generate actionable insights.
- Collaborate with operations research scientists and economists to develop strategic models for selection and assortment planning.
- Work closely with software and business teams to understand and enhance their business processes and requirements.
- Lead the development of decision-support tools and operational solutions to improve organizational outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to developing requirements for potential solutions.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior team members.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts and strategies to senior management and colleagues across various disciplines.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of professional experience in system software development and deployment at a commercial or web-scale level.
- Proficient in modern programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong understanding of scalable computing systems, software design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills matched with proven design capabilities.
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in fields such as optimization, probability theory, simulation, and mathematical modeling.
- Solid understanding of algorithm analysis and computational complexities.
- Familiarity with logistics software systems and complex design usage.
- Experience or education in inventory planning, optimization, or logistics strategies.
