Join our team as a Business Analyst focused on home lending to help drive important business decisions. Your expertise in mortgage underwriting and quality control will be crucial in evaluating loan data and ensuring compliance with guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Analyze loan data including conventional, jumbo, and home equity lines, ensuring eligibility and compliance.
- Conduct due diligence reviews and prepare necessary documentation.
- Evaluate complex financial information and determine borrower and property eligibility.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Risk, Compliance, and Legal for policy updates and decision-making.
- Support internal and external audits and handle control testing requests.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to explain decisions and suggest solutions.
Skills
- Strong mortgage underwriting experience with an emphasis on self-sufficiency in data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
- Proficient in managing and interpreting complex loan and credit scenarios.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge in property and credit requirements of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and other loan programs.
- Experience with servicing tasks, including line management review and subordination requests.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions with minimal supervision.
