Seize the opportunity to make a significant impact in the world of structured cabling systems as a Technology Physical Layer Engineer/PM. In this role, you'll manage installations, lead engaging projects, and work alongside leading professionals to uphold the highest standards and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the installation of structured cabling systems according to industry standards.
- Manage various projects, ensuring they are completed on time and efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with teams from corporate real estate, network engineering, and external contractors.
- Draft technical specifications, develop bid documents, and facilitate vendor selection processes.
- Offer technical support and manage cabling operations day-to-day.
- Perform site visits to monitor progress and propose enhancements.
Skills
- Proficient in designing and implementing structured cabling systems.
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and network diagrams.
- Strong project management capabilities with the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
- Adept at working autonomously while maintaining effective communication with all organization levels.
- Knowledgeable about cabling standards like ANSI/EIA/TIA, IEEE, and NEC.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Siemon Cabling System or certification as a Siemon Installer.
- Familiarity with varied cabling types, including copper and fiber optic cables.
- Understanding of LAN, WLAN, VoIP, and AV/Video systems.
