Join our team as a Senior Associate RPG Developer and play a pivotal role in modernizing our application systems. This fully remote position offers the chance to work collaboratively with our business and systems teams to create impactful software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and upkeep of applications supporting essential operations.
- Propose and implement improvements to enhance development methodologies and environments.
- Undertake complex programming tasks using RPG to meet business requirements.
- Craft and support multi-platform systems that bolster productivity and reusability.
- Translate business models into comprehensive system specifications and support test plan creation.
- Evaluate job requests for feasibility and impact on current systems.
- Deliver assignments aligned with strategic business goals and initiatives.
Skills
- Extensive experience in RPG/400, RPG-ILE, and RPG Free programming.
- In-depth understanding of CL programming and IBM DB2/SQL.
- Proven leadership capabilities to guide and mentor other developers effectively.
- Solid project management skills across the entire development lifecycle.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with the Aldon Change Management tool.
- Familiarity with IBM WebSphere Development Studio Client (Eclipse).
- Comfortable working in a Windows desktop environment.
