Step into a pivotal role as an AWS Cloud Engineer, where you'll play a key part in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure in a dynamic life insurance environment. Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the rollout and maintenance of AWS services integral to insurance operations and data management.
- Work under senior engineers to establish Infrastructure as Code practices using tooling like Terraform.
- Manage cloud environments to align with strict security and compliance standards in the sector.
- Monitor AWS resources, troubleshooting issues to meet customer service expectations.
- Engage actively in deploying internal applications through CI/CD workflows.
- Generate thorough documentation for audits, incident management, and regulatory needs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on security and compliance to ensure governance standards.
- Pursue skill development through mentorship and training in cloud technologies.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of AWS core services or relevant certification such as AWS Cloud Practitioner.
- Experience managing Linux or Windows servers within secure settings.
- Proficient in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including subnets and firewalls.
- Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
- Eager to advance cloud engineering expertise in a regulated industry.
Preferred Skills
- Practical AWS experience, ideally involving enterprise security or regulated data.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform.
- Understanding of CI/CD processes and automation pipelines.
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker.
- Experience in compliance standards like SOC 2 and least-privilege access models.
