Join an exciting opportunity as a Junior Database Developer, where you'll enhance and maintain critical financial reporting databases in the financial services sector. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate and efficient data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Enhance and maintain internal financial reporting database applications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement new features and automate reporting processes for existing database products.
- Ensure successful data warehouse operations, including monthly data loads and integrity control processes.
- Create comprehensive reports and conduct ad hoc analyses to meet complex business requirements.
- Collaborate with business, finance, and technology teams to provide effective database solutions.
- Offer Level 2 and 3 support for database applications to ensure seamless operation and troubleshooting.
Skills
- 2+ years in database application development or administration.
- Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL with experience in Oracle 11g/19c.
- Familiarity with Linux operating environments and shell scripting capabilities.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving orientation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with scheduling tools like ESP or Stonebranch UAC.
- Knowledge of MS Access and Python programming languages.
- Understanding of life insurance products and advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP and macros.
