Project Manager :
Would like candidates are aware on the paying up front for expense.
- The project manager will be responsible for overseeing on-site execution, working night shifts (7 PM to 4 AM)
- Managing third-party labor teams.
- Executing a specific phasing plan. Ensuring the phasing plan is completed entirely for each night.
- Escalating any issues that arise during the night's work or forecasting potential issues.
- Maintaining in-depth communication between site operations and senior leadership.
- The role involves extensive travel within the continental United States, potentially anywhere from Seattle to Florida.
- *Candidates need to live close to a major airport for easier travel arrangements. (The HM mentioned they want to avoid situations where candidates are 2-3 hours away from an airport, as that made travel difficult in the past.)
- The job requires being prepared to travel Monday through Friday for the duration of the 9-month assignment, minus major federal holidays. - The goal is to assign one project at a time, so travel would likely be to a consistent location for about 5-6 months. There's a possibility that midway through the assignment (around the 5-6 month mark), they might have to travel to different locations week over week if assigned to two projects.
- The work involves retrofitting existing Amazon grocery buildings, modifying them to meet new design requirements and customer needs.
- Responsibilities include design review, ordering shelving, overseeing installation of new shelving through third-party contractors, and ensuring all work meets permitted standards and food health safety standards.
- The project manager needs to be able to work in a live operational environment, making changes to buildings while they're still running without impacting customer or associate experience.
- The role requires strong communication skills, technological proficiency (including use of computers, email, Microsoft software, and potentially CAD or other specialized software), and the ability to travel continuously.
- The HM emphasized that this is a travel-intensive role with night work, requiring flexibility and the ability to work in various locations across the US
