JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Senior Business Communications Specialist to support large-scale projects by shaping communication strategies and partnering with subject matter experts and technical teams to deliver effective content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business communications projects.
  • Produce content for Windows and iOS digital communication channels such as websites, digital displays, video, print media, social media, and mobile applications using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint Online, and Office 365.
  • Create and edit a myriad of training, promotional, professional, and technical content (e.g., training videos, pamphlets, articles, one-pagers, executive summaries, copy/content for websites/web pages, charters, instruction sets, SOPs, user guides, white papers).
  • Prepare and edit technical guidance (e.g. policies and procedures), best practices, briefings, operations and maintenance manuals, software and system documentation, API documentation, developer tutorials, and other materials as needed.
  • Produce and apply style guides and design guidelines to ensure a consistent presentation of information.
  • Proofread large technical documents for spelling, grammar, usage, textual errors, and appropriate tone.
  • Translate complex concepts into useable, audience-appropriate text and graphics.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7 years of technical writing experience.
  • Experience producing documentation aligned with software development lifecycles (SDLCs), such as DevOps, Agile, Lean, Iterative, or Waterfall.
  • Strong understanding of content management principles and hands-on experience applying and training others in content management practices.
  • Proficiency with collaboration and content platforms such as SharePoint, SharePoint Online, and Team Foundation Server (TFS).
  • Experience producing content using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience using video editing and production tools such as Camtasia.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • BS/BA in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (highly desirable).
