JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our dynamic team as a Full Stack Developer and contribute to cutting-edge projects in a remote setting. This role offers the opportunity to work with innovative bioinformatics tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain bioinformatics applications and tools, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and improvements.
  • Utilize scripting languages and Linux/Unix tools to streamline processes and enhance functionality.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Python, BASH, and other scripting languages.
  • Experience with bioinformatics pipelines and tools such as Illumina BCL Conversion and Genomic Aligners.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Genetics software pipelines and laboratory tools.
  • Experience working in an Agile team environment.
  • Knowledge of clustered environments like Oracle Grid Engine.
  • Exposure to cloud integration tools such as awscli, gcloud, and azurecli.
