JOB DESCRIPTION

Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative data solutions in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data models and ETL pipelines to support data integration and warehousing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement data solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on data engineering strategies.
  • Maintain and optimize existing data infrastructures, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews and testing protocols.

Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong understanding of data modeling and warehousing.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience with distributed systems and data storage solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as EMR, EC2, Glue, or Lambda.
  • Experience with relational databases and ElasticSearch.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices, including CI/CD and operational excellence.
