Position Overview
A privately held, mid-sized organization is seeking a full-time IT Manager to oversee internal technology operations and deliver actionable business insights through data and reporting solutions. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who can:
- Design and maintain executive-level dashboards and reports using a modern business intelligence platform to support financial and operational decision-making.
- Manage day-to-day IT systems and infrastructure, including cloud-based productivity tools, enterprise business applications, and end-user technology.
This position combines business intelligence development with IT management responsibilities in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & Analytics
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and analytical reports for leadership, finance, and operations teams.
- Integrate data from enterprise business systems and other internal data sources into a centralized reporting environment.
- Analyze trends and performance metrics to provide insights that improve efficiency, visibility, and decision-making.
- Partner with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and translate them into scalable analytics solutions.
IT Operations & Systems Management
- Administer a cloud-based productivity and collaboration environment, including email, document management, messaging, and user access controls.
- Manage enterprise business applications, including ERP and CRM platforms, ensuring availability, security, and appropriate access.
- Provide hands-on support for end-user hardware and mobile devices to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Oversee data protection practices, including backups, security controls, and compliance-related processes.
- Evaluate, implement, and maintain technology solutions that support business continuity and growth.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to support and optimize business systems.
- Serve as a technical advisor to internal teams, promoting effective and secure use of technology tools.
- Translate business objectives into practical, cost-effective IT and reporting solutions.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in IT management, systems administration, or a related technical leadership role.
- Proven experience designing and deploying dashboards or reports using a business intelligence or analytics platform.
- Experience supporting enterprise business systems such as ERP and CRM solutions.
- Background in operations-driven or transaction-heavy environments is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with business intelligence tools, data modeling, and reporting best practices.
- Solid understanding of cloud-based productivity platforms and identity/access management.
- Knowledge of end-user computing, device management, and general IT infrastructure.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical execution in a mid-sized organization.
