|Job ID 72822|Posted Dec 15, 2025Join our team as a Data Platform Operations Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in deploying and maintaining our Azure Data Landing Zone. This position offers the opportunity to ensure our data platform's stability and compliance, driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Automate the creation and upkeep of data platforms to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Provide primary support for implementing, upgrading, and maintaining data platform environments.
- Collaborate with data engineers and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to security standards in partnership with IS&T Security Management.
- Analyze future capacity needs and develop tools to address potential challenges.
Skills
- Strong experience with DevOps and deploying services in Azure public cloud.
- Proficiency in provisioning infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical documentation skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of LAN and WAN networks.
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours, including on-call rotation participation.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with relational and No-SQL databases, Databricks, and Synapse.
- Familiarity with Azure CLI and configuring Azure Monitoring.
- Experience working in agile/scrum teams and administering Oracle or Microsoft SQL Databases.
- Azure cloud certifications and experience setting up HIPAA compliant cloud services.
