JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you ready to take your cloud engineering skills to the next level? Join us as a Cloud AWS Engineer for a dynamic 12-month contract, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping cloud-based solutions and driving innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust cloud-based technology solutions, focusing on AWS.
  • Administer and optimize the AWS cloud environment, ensuring peak performance and security.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate software enhancements and manage code migrations.
  • Develop detailed technical documentation and provide operational guidelines to ensure applications run smoothly.
  • Lead complex projects, coordinating with local and system staff to achieve project goals.
  • Monitor compliance with audit requirements and security guidelines.

Skills

  • Strong expertise in AWS and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
  • Proficient in Docker and containerized solutions.
  • Experience with coding languages such as Python, Go, and NodeJS/Typescript.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to create and understand complex technical documentation.
  • Proficiency in Observability tools like Grafana, CloudWatch, and OpenSearch.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with OpenTelemetry tools and frameworks like Prometheus and Jaeger.
  • Experience in data engineering and ETL processes.
  • Knowledge of Apache Spark and data pipeline management.
  • Understanding of serverless computing and REST APIs.
