JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description:

  • Client is seeking a contractor to assist with the implementation and maturation of its AI Governance program and internal adoption of agentic AI.
  • This role will support cross-functional efforts to ensure responsible AI development and deployment, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation across AI use cases.
  • The contractor will work closely with the AI Governance Council, Use Case Vetting Team, as well as with Legal, Privacy, Risk, and IT stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Use Case Vetting & Documentation
  • Support the intake, review, and approval of AI use cases, including maintaining the AI Registry and coordinating council reviews and approvals.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
  • Coordinate with internal business owners and suppliers to gather input on model architecture, training data, performance metrics, and disclosures for AI Registry and model cards
  • Coordinate to establish and maintain feedback loops on AI Governance initiatives, metrics, and new standards and policies.
Program Implementation and Build-Out:
  • Support the implementation of the AI Governance Program (process, councils, frameworks, and more); assist as needed with the development AI Governance workflows such as for AI incident response. Experience creating dashboards.
  • Assist with developing and implementing agentic AI governance requirements and practices as needed
Security & Risk Assessment:
  • Collaborate with AppSec and Risk teams to help ensure application of frameworks like OWASP for LLMs, conduct red teaming, and document security assessments.
Training & Literacy:
  • Assist in developing role-based training and AI literacy materials for internal teams.
Regulatory Monitoring & Compliance:
  • Potentially help track evolving AI regulations and legislation and support compliance mapping.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in AI governance, data privacy, compliance, risk management
  • Inclination toward collaboration; ability to work independently and quickly in a risk-informed manner
  • Strong documentation, project coordination or project management skills
  • Experience working with legal perspectives
  • Ability to bridge technical and regulatory perspectives and work cross-functionally with both non-technical and technical teams; strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with or demonstrated interest in AI/ML technologies and their ethical, legal, and operational implications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree or experience in law, computer science or a related field; if legal background, experience with law firm environments
  • Certification in AI governance or a related area (CIPP/US, CISM, CIPM)
  • Knowledge of AI-applicable regulatory frameworks (one or more of: NIST AI RMF or ISO 42001, EU AI Act, domestic AI and data privacy and security laws); knowledge of other regulatory frameworks or knowledge of intellectual property laws
  • Experience with red teaming or security risk assessments.
  • Understanding of model lifecycle management and auditability.
