We are seeking a detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to join our team in a part-time capacity. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to key accounting processes while working in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Review working papers prepared by junior team members across various accounting functions.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring compliance with SOX controls.
• Coach and mentor junior staff on documentation standards and accounting best practices.
• Oversee end-to-end processes for assigned areas, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to identify and implement process improvements.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and initiatives as needed.

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active CPA certification.
• Approximately 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including review and coaching responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance requirements.
• Expertise in ASC 842 lease accounting and experience with relevant accounting software.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with debt accounting and capitalized software.
• Familiarity with systems such as Leasequery, Coupa, and Blackline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools.
