|Job ID 72533|Posted Nov 17, 2025We are seeking a Principal Data Analyst who will play a crucial role in supporting large Medicaid data warehouse implementation and operations. This telecommute position offers the flexibility to work from home while requiring occasional travel to Springfield, IL for onsite meetings.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide internal and external stakeholders in decision-making processes related to Medicaid data operations.
- Identify state Medicaid agency data needs and develop effective solutions to meet those requirements.
- Direct technical and business teams on healthcare topics, ensuring appropriate utilization of healthcare data.
- Proactively suggest enhancements to project processes based on Medicaid best practices.
- Manage and deliver critical analytics and reports to stakeholders and clients.
Skills
- Over ten years of experience in information technology, with at least five years working with State Medicaid agencies.
- Strong understanding of claims processing, recipient eligibility, and provider enrollment data.
- Proficiency in data analysis using SQL and Excel against large datasets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in client-facing roles.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PERM, T-MSIS, CMS Federal Reporting, or similar projects.
- Familiarity with HEDIS, CHIPRA, or similar quality metrics.
- Knowledge of Teradata Database Management System or equivalent database systems.
