JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain a robust Hadoop platform to support extensive data processing needs.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues within core Hadoop components.
  • Develop monitoring frameworks to ensure the system's health and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with various teams to optimize resource usage and enhance job efficiency.
  • Automate operational tasks to streamline workflows using scripting languages.
  • Document best practices and operational standards for consistent platform management.

Skills

  • Proficient in Apache Hadoop, Hive, and Spark.
  • Strong knowledge of Java and Linux, particularly Ubuntu.
  • Experience in performance tuning and capacity planning within a Hadoop environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Grafana for system monitoring.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Scala.
  • Understanding of data security and compliance within the Hadoop ecosystem.

This is not a guarantee of compensation, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
