JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our team as an AIX Systems Administrator, where you'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our Unix-based systems. This position offers a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to apply your expertise in system automation and orchestration.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular system administration tasks and manage software lifecycle processes.
  • Automate configuration management and support software for operating system components.
  • Analyze past data to predict and proactively address potential system issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve system-related challenges.
  • Adapt to a flexible work schedule, transitioning from weekdays to a Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday rotation.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in Unix operating system technologies, with over 8 years in the field.
  • Proficiency in automation and orchestration tools like Ansible and Python.
  • In-depth knowledge of AIX LVM, PowerVM, and NIM administration.
  • Strong understanding of network concepts and AIX network administration.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve complex issues.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience with AIX performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of storage technologies utilized by the Federal Reserve System.
