This is an exciting opportunity to define and implement data governance policies while collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data governance policies to support various data domains.
- Lead the implementation of the data governance program using cutting-edge tools like Microsoft Purview and Databrick Unity Catalog.
- Communicate and enforce data governance policies across the organization, providing necessary training and guidance.
- Collaborate with data engineers and business units to address analytical needs and ensure data consistency and quality.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the data governance program, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data governance, data quality, or data management roles.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence organizational change.
- Proficient in analytical problem-solving to resolve data issues effectively.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with project management tools in Agile environments, particularly within the Microsoft Azure stack.
- Familiarity with Unity Catalog, Microsoft Purview, and Profisee.
- Experience collaborating with offshore contractor resources.
- Ability to present data insights to C-level stakeholders.
