We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. IT Database/System Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to support and enhance a high-performance computing environment while collaborating with IT and R&D stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain high-performance computing systems, focusing on RHEL 8 and Rocky Linux 8 environments.
- Support job submission workflows and workload managers to ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Install and configure scientific and engineering software applications, managing environment modules effectively.
- Design and implement networking and enterprise storage solutions for high-throughput computing workloads.
- Utilize configuration and automation tools to streamline system provisioning and CI/CD workflows.
- Manage cloud-based HPC resources using AWS services and DevOps tools.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate tasks and improve system reliability.
Skills
- Strong expertise in high-performance computing (HPC) and system administration.
- Proficiency in managing supercomputing architectures and accelerated nodes.
- Experience with job submission workflows and workload managers, preferably PBS.
- Solid knowledge of networking and enterprise storage solutions.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Salt Stack and automation platforms.
- Experience with AWS core services and DevOps tools.
- Strong understanding of version control practices using GitHub.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
