Our client is seeking a System Administrator/Applications Specialist to join our Marketing Operations Team and to help support the launch, hypercare and continued global rollout/replication of a new PO Management System Enhancement. As a System Administrator/Applications Specialist you will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and support of our new PO Request System and associated process and dashboard reporting. You will work with the project team to launch the new request system initially, then will be responsible for managing the system post-launch, ensuring the smooth operation of system, replication to other Medical Surgical businesses and functions and providing hypercare support to address any issues that arise post-implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a member of the system and process launch team. Work with existing developer and launch team to develop and implement the system to meet business requirements through the hypercare phase and beyond.
- Post-Launch
- Following rolloff of the current developer, assume system owner responsibilities, including serving as primary SME for the new system
- Manage the system post-launch, ensuring smooth operation of system, and providing hypercare support to address any issues that arise post-implementation.
- Replicate system to additional Medical Surgical business functions and regions as needed.
- Continue developing system enhancements and user training (Walk teams through the system and ongoing system enhancements; Conduct periodic training sessions and provide support to end-users to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes). Build a repository to host system training materials for user self-service.
- Troubleshoot system issues and implement remedies.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare and maintain continued project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk assessments.
- Assist in the transition of the system from development to post-launch support.
- Assist with system development and training efforts for rollout.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Finance Reporting or a related field from an accredited institution and/or equivalent professional experience Five (5) to seven (7) years of system administration, developer and/or project manager experience working with systems in a private, public, government or military environment Expertise in Smartsheet and/or similar platforms (e.g., Microsoft Excel) with experience in formula-based queries, dynamic field reporting and building comprehensive Excel spreadsheet reporting. Familiarity with SAP and S4/HANA preferred*Note: This is not a position for someone that writes code.
- Proven experience in systems development, project management, and hypercare support.
- Strong understanding of system development and system implementation processes and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, project management and training skills.
- Ability to connect and communicate effectively with business partners and business functions globally
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented self-starter who is inquisitive, quick at learning systems and developing and leading and communicating new processes and enhancements
- Ability to understand and think critically about Solventum’s current PO process and how to translate that into future system enhancements
- Ability to build and sustain cross-functional relationships with other areas of the company (other PO requestors and functions)
- Ability to understand the nuances of each function and the current PO process and identifies ways to streamline under the new tool and process.
