• Transform complex clinical and scientific information into engaging content for the general public.
• Conduct insightful interviews with medical professionals and patients to capture authentic narratives.
• Participate in editorial meetings twice a week to refine story ideas and maintain consistency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with creative teams to enhance stories with visual elements like photos and videos.
• Ensure all content aligns with editorial standards and the mission across print and digital platforms.
• Perform background research and stay updated on emerging healthcare trends to inform content creation.
• Contribute to broader communication strategies through cross-departmental publications and campaigns.

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Health Sciences, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in health, medical, or science writing for public audiences.
• Proven ability to make complex topics accessible and engaging for a wide audience.
• Strong interviewing, storytelling, and deadline management skills.
• Experience with digital publishing and knowledge of AP Style.
