JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our dynamic team as a Legal Contractor, where you'll play a pivotal role in transforming advisory offerings and supporting multiple product launches. This hybrid position offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with business partners and apply your legal expertise in federal securities laws.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business partners to understand initiatives and assess impacts under relevant securities laws.
  • Provide expert guidance on federal securities laws affecting retail investment advice.
  • Prepare and communicate legal requirements, ensuring all impacted parties are informed of changes.
  • Design and implement legal requirements, including drafting updates to client disclosures and agreements.
  • Negotiate and amend advisory agreements with third-party asset managers.
  • Support the development of marketing materials and internal communications for changes.
  • Review and update policies, procedures, and operational guides to reflect changes.
  • Foster strong working relationships with key business partners.

Skills

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Advisers Act and related SEC guidance.
  • Experience in negotiating advisory agreements and drafting ADV brochures and client agreements.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Comprehensive understanding of products, services, and business lines related to the role.
