JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled contractor for a remote position as an Associate - ACS Engineer, where you'll provide support for access control and intercom systems. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with field technicians while ensuring the smooth installation and operation of essential security systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide remote support for the installation of access control systems, ensuring proper configuration and integration.
  • Oversee and validate commissioning processes to confirm functionality and compliance with specifications.
  • Guide field teams in the installation of intercom hardware, offering step-by-step assistance.
  • Document troubleshooting procedures and resolutions for knowledge sharing.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to address complex issues.

Skills

  • Technical knowledge of access control systems, including door controllers and card readers.
  • Experience with intercom systems and hardware installation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing wiring, network, or configuration issues.
  • Familiarity with low-voltage systems and basic electronics.
  • Networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and device connectivity.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of major access control platforms such as LenelS2 or HID.
  • Experience with intercom vendors like Aiphone or Zenitel.
  • Certifications in access control or low-voltage electrical work.
  • Basic scripting or system integration knowledge is a plus.
