JOB DESCRIPTION

Join a dynamic team as a Systems Support Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining cutting-edge engineering labs and ensuring top-notch platform performance. This hybrid position offers an exciting opportunity to work with innovative technologies in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support for on-prem and virtual platform systems, including servers, storage, networking, and cabling.
  • Assist in the setup, testing, and debugging of new equipment to ensure readiness for production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address new features and applications impacting platform functionality.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans following failure analysis.
  • Conduct audits and tests on systems, networks, and hardware to ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond to support requests and troubleshoot hardware and software issues promptly.
  • Perform routine maintenance to prevent system outages and replace damaged hardware as needed.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Linux (or UNIX) and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of SAN storage technology and networking protocols such as TCP/IP.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in an engineering support role with specialized training or certification.
  • Familiarity with lab safety procedures and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Sound analytical thinking skills and attention to detail.
