JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Associate RPG Developer and lead the charge in modernizing our application software. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with business and systems teams, delivering impactful software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of applications supporting operations.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to development methodologies and environments.
  • Engage in complex programming tasks using RPG.
  • Design and support multi-platform systems to enhance productivity and reusability.
  • Translate business models into detailed system specifications and assist in creating test plans.
  • Analyze job requests for feasibility and system impact.
  • Execute assignments aligned with business strategies and initiatives.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in RPG/400, RPG-ILE, and RPG Free programming.
  • Strong understanding of CL programming and IBM DB2/SQL.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to direct other developers.
  • Project management experience across the full lifecycle.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Aldon Change Management tool.
  • Familiarity with IBM WebSphere Development Studio Client (Eclipse).
  • Comfortable working in a Windows desktop environment.
