JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our innovative team as a Tech Writer/Sr. Editor, where you'll play a crucial role in crafting and refining technical documents to support our cutting-edge products. This six-month contract position is based onsite in Sterling Heights, MI, offering a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update comprehensive technical documents to enhance product marketing, operation, and maintenance.
  • Ensure documentation adheres to company standards and government specifications.
  • Utilize advanced publishing tools to produce detailed descriptions, procedures, and reports.
  • Collaborate effectively with diverse teams across multiple locations to gather necessary information.
  • Maintain compliance with customer requirements and engineering standards.

Skills

  • Proficiency in XML Authoring Tools such as Arbortext Epic Editor and Oxygen software.
  • Strong command of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional for illustration markups.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) development processes.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in validation and verification processes, particularly on-vehicle.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Excellent customer interaction and service skills.
