This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with design teams and contribute to the development of high-quality fabrics that align with our brand's vision.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design teams to identify seasonal direction and innovative fabric qualities.
- Maintain and organize the fabric and wash library while overseeing ongoing development.
- Partner with production and mill management for effective sourcing direction.
- Facilitate testing of fabrics to ensure product integrity and safety.
- Conduct continual research and development to bring fresh ideas to the design table each season.
- Assist in reviewing price/value targets for basic programs in alignment with production teams.
Skills
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication abilities to influence and collaborate across functions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Expertise in raw materials and understanding of production processes.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the apparel industry.
- Proven management skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in building vendor relationships and understanding testing protocols.
