JOB DESCRIPTION

Backend Engineer

We are seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in software development to create robust and scalable systems that drive our product's success.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement backend architecture and services, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Lead code reviews, design discussions, and testing activities to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
  • Utilize your knowledge of software engineering patterns to build scalable solutions.
  • Embed data quality protocols throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Participate in on-call support to ensure product availability around the clock.

Skills

  • 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and experience with frameworks such as Micronaut or Spring Boot.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and technologies.
  • Solid understanding of Apache Kafka and stream processing.
  • Proficient in test-driven development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Knowledge of noSQL databases and advanced architectural patterns.
  • Experience with machine learning models and intelligent systems integration.
  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows and Agile methodologies.
