JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our team as a Tech Writer II, where you'll create and refine technical documentation that supports the operation, repair, and marketing of our innovative products. This role offers a dynamic environment to collaborate with engineering experts and contribute to high-quality documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update complex technical documents ensuring adherence to company and government standards.
  • Utilize advanced publishing software to create detailed product descriptions and operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to gather information and validate technical content.
  • Analyze technical data and drawings to translate into clear, user-friendly documentation.
  • Contribute to project planning by providing insights on time and cost estimates.
  • Maintain industry knowledge to ensure documentation reflects current trends and practices.

Skills

  • Proficiency in XML Authoring Tools such as Arbortext Epic Editor and Oxygen software.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional for illustration markups.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and system operations for technical writing.
  • Ability to translate complex engineering designs into accessible language for non-technical users.
  • Experience with Content Management Systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and command of the English language.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the defense or automotive industry.
  • Familiarity with interactive electronic technical manual development.
  • On-vehicle validation and verification experience.
  • Strong customer interaction and service skills.
