JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our team as a Cloud Engineer and drive the future of cloud data solutions. This fully remote role offers the chance to collaborate with cross-functional teams and innovate in cloud migration and data strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cloud data strategies through effective development and migration tasks.
  • Design and maintain secure, efficient data pipelines using cutting-edge Azure technologies.
  • Transform and migrate on-premises SQL Server data and ETL processes to cloud-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and business teams to meet data requirements with production-ready solutions.
  • Enhance data workflow performance through transformation, validation, and tuning.
  • Support automation initiatives using CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across cloud-based operations.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 3 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 1-2 years focused on Azure data services.
  • Strong SQL and ETL/ELT processing skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, ADLS, and Key Vault.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities, capable of working both independently and in teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in managing large-scale data environments within financial services or risk sectors.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Fabric or modern medallion/lakehouse architectures.
  • Familiarity with Azure governance and monitoring tools like Purview, Monitor, and Log Analytics.
  • Comfortable with Agile methodologies and distributed team environments.
