JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our dynamic team as a Development Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing and stabilizing infrastructure-focused microservices. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Python professional to make a significant impact in a remote work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Refactor and stabilize mid-life-cycle services, ensuring seamless integration with storage APIs, Redis queues, and Postgres databases.
  • Diagnose issues and deliver production-quality fixes to improve service reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance Flask/Fast API services.
  • Implement testing strategies and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure robust service delivery.
  • Manage distributed systems, focusing on Redis queues, retries, and failover handling.

Skills

  • Expertise in Python 3 with over seven years of experience in production-grade services.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining microservices and REST APIs.
  • Strong experience with testing frameworks like pytest and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
  • Solid understanding of Postgres databases and SQL Alchemy ORM.
  • Fluency in Docker and familiarity with Kubernetes or TAP deployments.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to enterprise storage systems such as NetApp ONTAP or Storage Grid concepts.
  • Experience with cloud storage provisioning on platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Familiarity with observability tools and techniques for monitoring distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of high-availability validation, including health checks and service alerting.
