JOB DESCRIPTION

We're on the lookout for a dynamic Technical Product Owner to lead the charge in transforming data into actionable insights, playing a pivotal role in an agile team focused on delivering top-notch data and analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the product backlog for the Data & BI scrum team, ensuring continuous refinement of features and user stories.
  • Translate business visions and reporting needs into detailed product roadmaps, epics, and user stories.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather and validate data and reporting requirements, and prioritize delivery based on business value.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and work collaboratively with developers, QA, and the Scrum Master to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Review data products to ensure they meet quality standards and align with stakeholder expectations before release.

Skills

  • Over three years of experience as a Technical Product Owner with a strong grasp of data product and BI solution delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of data modeling techniques and architectural patterns.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and handling cloud data platforms, especially AWS Redshift and Tableau.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize commitments, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in large, matrixed organizations and familiarity with data governance and metadata management.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and version control for data pipelines or BI artifacts.
  • Background in the insurance industry, particularly with Disability, FMLA, and Life products.
