JOB DESCRIPTION

Join a dynamic team as a Network Engineer IV, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting an 18-month project with a focus on DDI solutions. This hybrid position offers an exciting opportunity to work out of either Richmond or Boston, contributing to the stability and efficiency of our network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement DDI solutions that meet business needs and adhere to best practices.
  • Configure and manage DNS, DHCP, and IPAM systems to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of Infoblox appliances.
  • Utilize ServiceNow for managing incidents, change requests, and service catalog entries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DDI solutions seamlessly.
  • Monitor system performance and health using various tools, setting up alerts for critical issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to resolve complex network issues and prevent future occurrences.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, procedures, and incident responses.

Skills

  • Proficiency in configuring and managing DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, and routing protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell for automation purposes.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and their integration with DDI solutions.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible.
  • Understanding of monitoring tools such as Nagios or Prometheus, and log management solutions like Splunk.
