JOB DESCRIPTION
The Product Configuration team within the Actuarial department is responsible for the successful implementation of complex calculations in our policy administration system. As a Delivery Manager, you will work directly with the configuration analysts and testers, as well as our external vendor to enable high-performance agile delivery across the enterprise by embedding strong agile delivery practices and encouraging team-level agility. The Delivery Manager connects strategy to execution by driving delivery excellence, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, and championing adaptive ways of working aligned with enterprise goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Product, Operations, IT, and Configuration teams to translate strategic priorities into actionable delivery plans.
  • Ensure quality of delivery by establishing and enforcing best practices and standards throughout intake, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and support phases.
  • Drive consistency across multiple workstreams supported by the capability.
  • Build and sustain effective communication with all stakeholders and cross functional teams to maximize customer experience.
  • Partner with functional leads to escalate and resolve impediments.
  • Monitor and report the scope and schedule of release milestones and the delivery progress of new product and features.
  • Develop frameworks to improve team-level performance, velocity, predictability, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and track delivery metrics that drive insight and accountability.
  • Maintain configuration team delivery costs
  • Cultivate a culture of empowerment, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Advanced organizing and planning skills to effectively manage larger teams.
  • Lead large cross-functional delivery teams, both onshore and offshore.

Additional Information
Experience
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience leading high performing teams
  • Relevant IT experience in application development and support.
  • Experience working in Life and Annuities Insurance preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with a diverse workforce
  • Expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies and ability to incorporate them into project deliverables
  • Strong focus on accountability and results
  • Highly organized with strong analytical abilities
  • Commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Experienced in Atlassian software – Jira and Confluence
  • Experienced in Project Server, time tracking, budget planning and management skills.

Education
  • 4 year degree required: Four year degree in technical discipline, engineering, business, Actuarial science, mathematics, physics, economics or related field; or equivalent experience.

Licenses/Certifications/Other:
  • Technology, business and project certifications preferred

This is not a guarantee of compensation, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
