JOB DESCRIPTION

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for an Argo Software Engineer. This role offers the chance to work on innovative projects in a dynamic environment while collaborating with a talented team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and support various components of applications and platforms.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design, develop, and maintain business applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code while participating in peer code reviews.
  • Contribute to the overall performance and availability of systems and applications.
  • Package and support the deployment of software releases.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers while suggesting improvements for efficiency.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and specifications.

Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
  • Strong knowledge of Argo Data and its applications.
  • Experience with traditional client/server architecture and web/API development.
  • Proficiency in databases such as DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with SOAP and RESTful web services.
  • Ability to troubleshoot software issues with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Argo Teller platform and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of web development languages such as JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and C#/.Net frameworks.
  • Background in the Banking or Financial Industry.
  • Understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
