AS400 Developer

We are seeking a skilled AS400 Developer to join our dynamic IT team. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to work on critical business applications while supporting the transition to a new SAP system.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications on the AS400 platform using RPG IV/ILE, CL, and SQL.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Perform system analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Enhance existing applications to adapt to evolving business needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and developers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and provide user support and training as needed.

Skills

• 5+ years of experience in AS400/iSeries development.
• Proficiency in RPG IV/ILE, CL, and DB2/400.
• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with data modeling and performance tuning on DB2/400.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in a remote environment.
• Familiarity with SAP systems and their integration.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team setting.
