AS400 Developer
We are seeking a skilled AS400 Developer to join our dynamic IT team. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to work on critical business applications while supporting the transition to a new SAP system.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications on the AS400 platform using RPG IV/ILE, CL, and SQL.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Perform system analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Enhance existing applications to adapt to evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and developers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and provide user support and training as needed.
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in AS400/iSeries development.
- Proficiency in RPG IV/ILE, CL, and DB2/400.
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with data modeling and performance tuning on DB2/400.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with SAP systems and their integration.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team setting.
