JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Sr. IT Project Lead to join our dynamic team. This remote position offers the opportunity to leverage your expertise in outpatient coding and project management within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage outpatient professional coding audit projects, ensuring high-quality results and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough coding and documentation audits of ambulatory and physician records.
  • Deliver insightful recommendations and educate clients on best practices in coding and documentation integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance coding compliance and improve revenue cycle processes.
  • Utilize analytical skills to interpret and analyze data effectively, driving actionable outcomes.

Skills

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Health Information Management, Nursing, or a related healthcare field.
  • Minimum of five years of outpatient clinical coding experience, with relevant certifications (RHIA, RHIT, CCS-P, CPC).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain superior client relations in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Recognized CDI credential from ACDIS or AHIMA.
  • AAPC risk adjustment certification.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and telecommuting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
