JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our dynamic team as a Network Engineer in Cloud Network Services. This remote opportunity offers a chance to shape the future of cloud networking over a 12-month contract with potential for extension.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support global cloud network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and VPN services.
  • Assist in network operations across various cloud environments like Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues, ensuring swift response during operational events.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to uphold network reliability.
  • Utilize automation tools to manage infrastructure efficiently and perform regular maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor network performance metrics and address any concerns proactively.
  • Collaborate with teams to enhance reliability and streamline operational processes.
  • Document procedures and infrastructure details accurately for seamless operations.

Skills

  • 2–4 years of experience in network operations or infrastructure engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with load balancers, routing, switching, or security devices.
  • Basic understanding of network protocols and services such as TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, TLS/mTLS, and VPNs.
  • Comfortable working in Linux environments and performing troubleshooting tasks.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting tools like Ansible, Python, or Bash.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to public or hybrid cloud platforms in a support or operational role.
  • Knowledge of observability and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
  • Interest in infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD tools like GitLab CI/CD or Terraform.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for automation and process improvement.
