JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our dynamic team as a Data Engineer, where you'll design and maintain data pipelines to support analytics initiatives. This remote opportunity allows you to work from anywhere while utilizing your expertise in SQL, Python, and Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop efficient data pipelines and ETL processes to support data analytics.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand and meet data requirements.
  • Ensure the quality, integrity, and security of data across all pipelines.
  • Optimize data processes for performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement and manage data storage solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, implementing effective solutions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data engineering.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and its data services.
  • Experience with ETL tools and data integration techniques.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and database design.
  • Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
