Responsibilities
- Design and develop efficient data pipelines and ETL processes to support data analytics.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand and meet data requirements.
- Ensure the quality, integrity, and security of data across all pipelines.
- Optimize data processes for performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement and manage data storage solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, implementing effective solutions.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data engineering.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and its data services.
- Experience with ETL tools and data integration techniques.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of data modeling and database design.
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
