|Job ID 71164|Posted Aug 1, 2025Join a dynamic team as a Color Mastering Specialist, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring visual color accuracy and material consistency across a range of materials. This is an exciting opportunity to bridge the gap between design intent and manufacturing execution.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the color mastering process from initial design to final production for all surface materials.
- Lead reviews and alignment sessions for paints, plastics, graphics, and soft materials.
- Develop and maintain master standards for various materials like paint chips and texture plaques.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve color matching challenges efficiently.
- Manage a physical library of approved finishes for easy cross-functional reference.
- Partner with designers, engineers, and quality teams to ensure cohesive product execution.
- Support the development of new color technologies and finish testing in collaboration with R&D.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Materials Engineering, Color Science, or a related field.
- Over three years of experience in color development or material specification.
- Strong visual acuity for color, finish, and texture under different lighting conditions.
- Experience with paints, plastics, decals, and soft goods from a quality perspective.
- Proficient communication and documentation abilities, with confidence in leading supplier negotiations.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with color matching processes and manufacturing tolerances.
- Familiarity with tools like light booths, gloss meters, or spectrophotometers.
