JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our team as a Senior Database Administrator and play a crucial role in supporting and optimizing our database environments. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse projects within the energy sector, ensuring data-driven decisions and robust database management.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data integrity and implement standard tools.
  • Support SQLServer and Oracle database environments, focusing on backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Provide technical expertise in data governance and analytics to drive business insights.
  • Diagnose and provide solutions for data-related issues and business processes.
  • Partner with application support teams on various projects, ensuring effective data management practices.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in database administration.
  • Proven experience with SQLServer and Oracle database administration, including business continuity planning.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills across organizational levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Experience with data visualization, architecture, and predictive modeling.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of SQLServer versions 2014 to 2022 and Oracle versions 12c to 21c.
  • Experience with SSIS, database replication technologies, and Oracle RAC and Data Guard.
  • Proficiency in T-SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages like PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL and MySQL database management.
