JOB DESCRIPTION

Join a dynamic financial services organization as a Tableau Administrator, where you'll manage and optimize Tableau Server infrastructure to ensure reliability and security. This role offers the opportunity to work on-site in Minneapolis, MN, with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and management of Tableau Server to maintain high performance and availability.
  • Monitor server health and address performance issues proactively.
  • Implement user security policies and manage permissions in line with data governance standards.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance Tableau reports and dashboards.
  • Develop and execute backup and disaster recovery plans for Tableau environments.
  • Keep the Tableau Server updated with the latest patches and features.
  • Automate administrative tasks such as user provisioning and report deployment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues, including connectivity and data refresh problems.
  • Document best practices and configurations for Tableau administration.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align Tableau solutions with organizational goals.

Skills

  • Proven experience in managing on-premise Tableau environments.
  • Strong understanding of Tableau Server architecture and networking.
  • Expertise in performance optimization for large-scale environments.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation tools like PowerShell or Python.
  • Experience with Windows or Linux server environments.
  • Knowledge of data security and governance, especially in financial data contexts.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the financial services sector with compliance knowledge.
  • Tableau Server certification.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
  • Understanding of data visualization best practices and dashboard development.
