JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

  • Execute the technical design process, ensuring each garment meets fit and quality standards.
  • Analyze and evaluate garments to develop precise fit specifications.
  • Collaborate with vendors to communicate fit requirements and ensure design integrity.
  • Adjust prototypes as needed, balancing quality and cost objectives.
  • Report to the Technical Services Manager, guiding Assistant or Associate Technical Designers.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical design, with a focus on plus-size garments.
  • Strong analytical skills for garment evaluation and specification development.
  • Excellent communication skills for vendor collaboration and fit adjustments.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with swimwear and coverups is a priority.
  • Familiarity with sweaters and knits/wovens is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Adobe programs, including Excel and Illustrator.
  • Experience with Flex PLM or Centric software.
