JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a talented Senior Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, managing and optimizing database systems to support critical business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management and maintenance of Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Implement and administer database solutions, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
  • Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting to resolve database issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to provide technical guidance on database-related matters.
  • Manage backup and recovery processes, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Mentor junior team members and support their professional development.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.

Skills

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with Oracle database management and technologies.
  • Strong expertise in diagnosing and resolving database performance issues.
  • Proficient in administering Oracle Enterprise Manager and related tools.
  • Familiarity with RedHat Linux operating systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Oracle DataGuard for database replication.
  • Knowledge of UNIX Korn or Bash shell scripting.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
