JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Data Scientist. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to apply your data science skills at the intersection of healthcare, AI ethics, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with diverse teams, including legal and compliance, to communicate various AI methods.
  • Document findings, create reports, and present results to stakeholders effectively.
  • Design and develop job aids and guidance documentation for responsible AI practices.
  • Develop Python scripts to automate testing processes and analyze results.
  • Identify vulnerabilities related to PII/PHI exposure in AI interactions.
  • Maintain test data sets and contribute to improving testing methodologies.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in AI/ML research and incorporate relevant findings into work.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Assist in designing and executing Red Team testing scenarios for conversational AI systems.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in computer science, applied mathematics, or related fields.
  • Proven experience with the full ML system development lifecycle.
  • Strong background in advanced NLP models and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, Pandas, and Numpy.
  • Deep understanding of ethical considerations and fairness in AI model development.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with healthcare systems, including claims payment and call centers.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers and data scientists.
  • Exposure to large language models or conversational AI systems.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to AI in healthcare.
  • Basic knowledge of information security principles.
