We are seeking a talented Principal Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your data science expertise in a collaborative environment focused on healthcare and AI ethics.

Responsibilities

• Engage with diverse teams, including legal and compliance, to communicate findings and insights on various AI methodologies.
• Document and present results to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding of complex data science concepts.
• Design and develop job aids and guidance documentation for responsible AI practices.
• Automate testing processes and analyze results using Python scripts.
• Identify vulnerabilities related to PII/PHI exposure in AI interactions and maintain test data sets.
• Stay updated on the latest AI/ML research and incorporate relevant findings into projects.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Assist in designing and executing Red Team testing scenarios for conversational AI systems.

Skills

• BS degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in the full ML system development lifecycle, including deployment and maintenance.
• Strong background in advanced NLP models and methodologies.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, Pandas, and Numpy.
• Deep understanding of ethical considerations and fairness in AI model development.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with healthcare systems, including claims payment and call centers.
• Experience translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with large language models or conversational AI systems.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering and adversarial testing methodologies.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to AI in healthcare.
