Responsibilities
- Address and resolve break/fix incidents and service requests efficiently.
- Oversee the management of both on-premises and cloud-based firewalls, ensuring optimal performance.
- Participate in and coordinate significant network migration projects, providing engineering support where necessary.
- Maintain and update firewall policies across various domains to meet diverse requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to determine their requirements and ensure these are met effectively.
- Develop and maintain procedural manuals and documentation as needed.
- Mentor team members, sharing expertise and providing guidance.
- Implement and manage OSPF Routing for remote sites and data centers as required.
Skills
- Proficiency in managing multiple firewalls using MDS or Smart-1 cloud and Panorama.
- At least five years of experience in configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting firewalls.
- Strong ability to deploy firewall policies on both Checkpoint and Palo Alto platforms.
- Experience with network design documentation tools like Visio.
- Exceptional collaboration skills, working effectively with diverse technical teams.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as CCSA/CCSE or PCNSA/PCNSE are beneficial.
- Familiarity with automation tools like Terraform or Ansible for deploying firewall configurations.
- Experience writing scripts for firewall patching and configuration verification.
- Knowledge of Splunk for troubleshooting and creating data visualization dashboards.
- Experience in an Agile project environment is a plus.
