Join us as an Experience Designer and help create human-centered, inclusive digital solutions that delight our customers. This role offers a dynamic environment where you'll collaborate with a passionate team to design accessible and engaging experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop human-centered experiences that provide personalized, clear, helpful, and inclusive solutions.
- Conduct competitive analysis and monitor marketplace trends to inform research and design processes.
- Ensure digital accessibility by applying guidelines, laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and validate accessibility user stories and evaluate prototypes.
- Review designs and wireframes to ensure they meet accessibility standards.
- Mentor team members on the use of assistive technology and best practices in UX design.
- Actively participate in design and testing protocols, and assist with research and response to consumer feedback.
- Develop guidelines for compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- One to three years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of user experience design best practices, interactive design principles, and current web accessibility standards.
- Strong analytical thinking and flexible approach.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced knowledge of semantic HTML and appropriate use of ARIA markup.
- Experience with JAWS, NVDA, iOS VoiceOver, and/or Android Talkback.
- IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) or Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) Certification.
- Familiarity with the design thinking process and framework.
- Experience working in a cross-channel environment and collaborating with large teams.
