Responsibilities

• Develop human-centered experiences that provide personalized, clear, helpful, and inclusive solutions.
• Conduct competitive analysis and monitor marketplace trends to inform research and design processes.
• Ensure digital accessibility by applying guidelines, laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and validate accessibility user stories and evaluate prototypes.
• Review designs and wireframes to ensure they meet accessibility standards.
• Mentor team members on the use of assistive technology and best practices in UX design.
• Actively participate in design and testing protocols, and assist with research and response to consumer feedback.
• Develop guidelines for compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• One to three years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of user experience design best practices, interactive design principles, and current web accessibility standards.
• Strong analytical thinking and flexible approach.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Advanced knowledge of semantic HTML and appropriate use of ARIA markup.
• Experience with JAWS, NVDA, iOS VoiceOver, and/or Android Talkback.
• IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) or Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) Certification.
• Familiarity with the design thinking process and framework.
• Experience working in a cross-channel environment and collaborating with large teams.
